Acquired in 2015 by The George Kaiser Family Foundation in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Chaiken helped prepare Bob Dylan’s archive of song manuscripts, sound recordings, photographs and film and video materials. Before taking possession of the collection, The Kaiser Foundation hired Chaiken to assist in building an infrastructure in Tulsa to support this vast and historic collection. From 2016 until 2021, Chaiken served as the Inaugural Curator of the Bob Dylan Archive, organizing numerous artist visits, talks and public events. Working closely with Olson Kundig Architects, he occupies a foundational role in the building and curation of the Bob Dylan Center that opened in Tulsa in May 2022. Additionally, he is a co-editor, alongside Robert Polito, Mark Davidson and Parker Fishel, of the first book on the Bob Dylan Center published by Callaway in 2023.
